Writing after less than two months. Wow, improvement. /sarcasm
Now let’s look back at what has transpired over the past couple of weeks.
July was filled with… IKEA. Undocumented, but maybe I went there almost every week after I visited there with Dean and Sienzo :)) July also happened to be my brother’s wedding! and my brother’s birthday. Went home briefly for the weekend, hugged my grandmother, bonded with the fambam, especially the nieces! So short a trip. Mom wanted to take me to the airport, but due to POEA matters we weren’t able to have that moment anymore. Then I was finally get my room organized, thanks to preparations for Hazel’s visit! Boy do I need external pressure to be motivated.
Can’t believe it’s already been more than a month since Hazel came. I miss the company of friends here 🙁 Really a different environment, with friends bonded together. BUT, there’s something I have to do better at–keeping in touch and taking the time to invest in friendships. Find opportunities to spend time together.
As for August, it marked a milestone for me. As I pushed my ‘gala’ adventure to Mt. Fuji, Kawaguchiko area only for now. Traveling alone, witnessing sights, sounds, and people, with fresh eyes. Wasn’t able to see the stars as I hoped, but now I know that this area was not exactly the best place to be with its ever-changing weather. But thanks to this experience, I was able to take a 2-hour timelapse in Chureito Pagoda, with them marvelous skies! Ahhh. Will dedicate another post for that, with my reflections on that day, about how God moves in ways we truly cannot see. Blessed!
August ends with me being sick for almost a week… fever/flu was only during the weekend thankfully. But the cough/cold lasted for a week, then with some phlegm and slight sore throat left after. Still unable to eat chocolates in the same pace as before. But then that’s also good XD Thank you Lord for healing me… for showering me with your mercy and grace. You are faithful indeed, and I will praise you, in sickness and in health. Here’s to a continuing daily quiet time! Hopefully will be able to journal regularly soon, about my walk with the Lord 🙂
